The Atlanta Community Food Bank believes that a partnership is so much more than a check and a handshake. There is shared value in working together to close the meal gap in our community. Corporations and businesses who invest in the Food Bank’s work create a more nourished and healthy community. Our desire is to build a personal relationship with each partner that will increase your visibility in the community, expand employee engagement, foster knowledge around food and health issues, and ultimately end hunger in our community.
Program Support: Fund innovative programs like School Mobile Pantries, which allow us to close the hunger gap at local schools or increase the availability of healthy food through our Community Gardens program. This is a tangible way to help the Food Bank fulfill our core mission of fighting hunger in our community. $1 donated = 4 meals provided to the community
Event Sponsorship: Sponsor signature events like Hunger Walk/Run in March, Full Course Golf Classic, and the biennial Legends of Atlanta Hospitality Roast are great opportunities to support the Food Bank and increase your company’s visibility in the community
Corporate Foundations: Have a formal philanthropic or grantmaking process? The Food Bank’s staff can work with your team in a timely manner to find the best fit and meet all deadlines
- Matching Gift Program: If your company has a matching gift program please be sure to inform your employees of the process and requirements for requesting a company match. Companies can match financial donations or volunteer hours from their employees.
Employee Giving: Invite the Food Bank to your Employee Giving event. We provide educational materials to support increasing your company’s employee giving to the Food Bank
Volunteer: Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the city and include activities such as food sorting and packing, school supply sorting and stocking, work in community gardens, grocery floor stocking, and special events.
Food & Fund Drives: Participate in Food & Fund Drives. Often teams or departments like some friendly competition while being able to support our neighbors in need. Barrels, materials and customized webpages are available to make Food & Fund Drives a great office event.
Hunger 101: Increase awareness about hunger and poverty on the local, state and national levels through interactive workshops. Workshops range from 30 minutes to an hour and a half and can be hosted at the Food Bank or your company.
