Internships

Looking for experience in the nonprofit sector? Do you want a position with meaning and creativity?  We have a variety of positions, skill needs and time commitments available.  Past interns have worked with our volunteer department, community gardens, marketing and public relations, and community education and outreach.

ACFB Benefits

ACFB values its employees and is pleased to provide an array of benefit programs.  Our benefits package is available to all full-time employees after they have fulfilled a 30-day waiting period. 

Medical & Dental
ACFB offers medical and dental coverage for employees and their dependents, including domestic partners, at competitive rates.  We offer three (3) medical coverage options; Low HMO (Employee-only coverage is provided at no cost), High HMO, and PPO.  Dental coverage options include a Core In-Network Plan and a Passive PPO In & Out of Network Plan.

Life Insurance & AD&D
ACFB provides Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage for the employee at no cost.  Coverage is equal to one times the employee’s salary up to $50,000.   

Voluntary (Optional) Life Insurance
ACFB employees may purchase additional optional coverage for the employee and their dependents, including domestic partners. 

Short-term & Long-term Disability Coverage
ACFB provides short-term and long-term disability coverage for the employee at no cost.  Coverage provides up to 60% of the employee’s salary in the event of a sickness or injury.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
ACFB provides an EAP program at no cost to the employee.  Employees will have access to a team of counselors and service professional 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to provide immediate help and support on a host of life and work issues.

Emergency Travel Assistance
ACFB employees and their families are offered protection through Assist America for when employees and their families travel more than 100 miles away from home.

403(b) Retirement Plan
Upon completion of one (1) year of service, ACFB will contribute 7.5% of the employees’ salary towards the employee’s retirement.  Employees may begin contributions upon hire.

Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick and Personal)
Balance between personal and professional life is a concept that ACFB is committed to supporting.  Employees accrue 10 paid vacation days and 10 paid sick days during their first year of employment.  After one year of service, employees accrue 12 paid vacation days and 12 paid sick days.  Up to five (5) personal days are accrued based on years of service.  Paid time off may be taken as it’s accrued.

Business Casual Dress Policy
ACFB maintains a business casual environment.  Specific dress guidelines are available upon hire.
