The Atlanta Community Food Bank is a non-profit organization supplying food and non-food products to non-profit food-sharing programs in metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
Receptionist
Salary: $11.30 - $13.22 (Grade 3)
The Receptionist is responsible for answering the main switchboard, receiving and routing messages, sorting mail, receiving visitors and guests for staff, and other duties as assigned. Works weekdays 7:45am - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department
- Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions and other information
- Provides referral information to individuals requesting food assistance
- Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards to appropriate personnel
- Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business and announces visitors to appropriate personnel
- Responsible for opening and closing of reception area each day
- Responds to routine requests for information from members of the staff, the public or other individuals.
- Uses knowledge of various software programs to operate a computer in an effective and efficient manner.
- Serves as a back up to sort incoming mail.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prefer some college coursework in secretarial sciences or business.
- Required qualifications
- Two (2) years of clerical, reception, administrative or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally, written and verbal
- Intermediate skills in MS Word and Outlook

- Possess multi-tasking abilities, follow directions, be detail-oriented, and a team player
