During his recent travels through Northern Europe, Don was especially impressed with the often under-rated cuisine of Ireland. Inspired by his experiences there and the dishes that he enjoyed with his mother as they explored their Irish heritage, he brings a little luck o’ the Irish to Simple Abundance. Joining him for their annual tradition of teaching this holiday wine and cooking class is Founder and Owner of The Cook’s Warehouse, Mary Moore. The Georgia Society of CPAs, Georgia's top accounting firms and Industry accounting departments are using their one voice to create a friendly food and fund drive competition among Georgia accounting professionals to support the eight regional Georgia Food Banks that comprise the Georgia Food Bank Association.

The Office of the Attorney General, State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division and Georgia Food Bank Association come together each spring for a friendly food and fund drive competition. 

September is Hunger Action Month! Whether it’s volunteering, hosting a food drive or spreading the word of what the Food Bank does, we want you to help us. Join us and 200 Feeding America food banks across the nation to take action against the issue of hunger.

The Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk & Fitness Program (KPCRW) is the largest workplace-organized health and wellness program in Atlanta starting with Get Active Atlanta!, a free 8-week training program and culminating in a 5K run/walk through downtown Atlanta. The Food Bank is a benefiting charity of the KPCRW, which results in thousands of dollars and pounds of food donated to the Food Bank each year.

Team up with your fellow Atlanta Falcons fans and compete against 31 other NFL teams in the Kick Hunger Challenge. The challenge brings together football fans from across the country to show support for their favorite team and become champions in the effort to end hunger. 100% of the funds donated by the Atlanta Falcons fans will be given to the Food Bank. Invite your friends and family to participate and make the Atlanta Falcons #1 on the scorecard!

During the holiday season, Kroger customers can purchase $1, $3 or $5 icons at the register to help provide food for area families in need.

It’s time again for a fabulous evening of live old-time radio re-creations, complete with on-stage sound effects and music, presented by more than 30 Atlanta artists from The Atlanta Union Radio Players. This year’s celebration of radio’s past is all about stage and screen and highlights two of radio’s greatest comediennes: Joan Davis and Lucille Ball!

Each May, the U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers join together to “Stamp Out Hunger” and deliver millions of pounds of food to more than 200 Feeding America food banks.

Inspired by scripture from the prophet Isaiah, “to share your food with the hungry”, Atlanta’s Jewish Community holds their metro-wide food drive each year during the High Holy Days.

Outnumber Hunger is an initiative that makes it easy for people to join in the fight against hunger in their own communities.  Specially marked food packages direct consumers to enter codes online at www.OutnumberHunger.com to help Feeding America secure meals for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. 

Each spring, Publix Super Markets customers can donate at the register to provide food for hungry families.  As a token of appreciation, customers making a donation will receive a special Food for Sharing reusable bag. 

Having the right school supplies can mean the difference between a passing or a failing grade. Customers and associates are encouraged to donate $5, $7 or $10 which will be used to purchase much-needed school supplies for local teachers, students and non-profit organizations assisting underserved children.

Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Atlanta is an elegant black tie optional evening of gourmet food and wine featuring chefs from 50 of Atlanta’s top restaurants, live entertainment and live, silent and wine auctions. 100% of the net proceeds benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters Georgia, Our House, The Georgia Citizens' Coalition on Hunger, The Georgia Budget & Policy Institute, and theh Captain Planet Foundation. 

Join with Georgia Meeting Professionals International (GaMPI) as they celebrate community for a great cause at The Gathering, GaMPI’s signature charity benefit for Atlanta’s Table, ACFB’s prepared and perishable food rescue project.

Enjoy an afternoon outside Twain's in Decatur with a five-course, five-beer pairing dinner, $50 per person. Participating restaurants include Twain's, Pinewood Tippling Room, Leon's, Pine Street Market, and Steinbecks. Beer offerings from Twain's, Three Taverns, Wild Heaven, Blue Tarp, and Ale Yeah!
