Every month, I'm proud to get behind the wheel of our Mobile Food Pantry and provide food for our community. It gives me a unique perspective on the challenges people face in putting food on their table.
I've seen firsthand how the need has grown across the 29 counties we serve in metro Atlanta and north Georgia. When I head out with the Mobile Pantry to an underserved community, as many as 200 men, women and children show up at any given site. Looks of relief wash over worried faces when each family receives grocery bags with enough food for over 30 meals. Many tell me they don’t know how they'd make it to the next paycheck otherwise.
When you join our monthly giving society, Partners in Sharing, it’s almost like riding shotgun with me. The consistent, ongoing support of these faithful donors helps us find more food, make more deliveries, and serve more people.
The Mobile Pantry is one way we can reach neighborhoods where up to 1 in 4 people are struggling to put food on the table. We want to be able to keep delivering nutritious food wherever it’s needed most.
