Ever since she was 8 years old, Imani has volunteered in the Food Bank’s Product Rescue Center. She’s an inspiring example to me of how one person’s consistent giving can have a tremendous impact in the lives of others.
Imani has grown up with us. Along the way, she's gone on to help in her high school's food drive and introduce new friends to our work. And we've grown too. Imani now sees more volunteers joining her, new types of food needing to be sorted, and more boxes being packed for distribution to families in need.
For me as for many others, Thanksgiving means extended family, close friends, and good food. It also traditionally signals a shift in focus.

On Wednesday, we received a BIG diaper donation from Huggies. How big is big? How about 200,000 diapers big? We can't thank Huggies enough for their donation. There are a lot of mom and dads with children that need diapers. In fact, 1 in 3 moms can't afford new diapers for their child. They've had to miss work or school or even keep their children home from daycare because many child care facilities require a full day's worth of diapers that they didn't have.
